Kunst zählt!

Gestern Nachmittag habe ich "Education" ausgelesen, es hat mir ganz gut gefallen. Letztendlich musste sich Tara Westover aber von ihrer radikalfundamentalistischen Familie lossagen, denn Bildung und das Leben einer Mormonen-Frau passt nicht zusammen. Ihre Eltern - und die von den Eltern beeinflussten Geschwister - konnten auch nicht verwinden, das sie ihren Bruder der Gewalt bezichtigt hat. Aber Tara hat sich bis nach Cambridge und Harvard durchgekämpft und lebt heute selbstbestimmt in Cambridge.

 

Heute habe ich mir dann ein dünnes Büchlein ausgesucht, das ich bei der Heimfahrt auch schon wieder ausgelesen habe. Aber es war ein echtes Juwel und ich möchte mir ein paar Zitate draus in mein Tagebuch schreiben. Mit den Zeichnungen von Chris Riddell war es ein kleines, aber extrem schönes und perfektes Buch.
