ist das Thema meines neuen, heute begonnen Buches. Ein Jugendbuch, das von James Patterson in seinem neuen Verlag erschienen ist, und das eine ganz ungewöhnliche Protagonistin hat: ein junges Mädchen, das im viktorianischen London das schöne und blutige Handwerk des Sezierens lernt. Bisher gefällt mir das Buch sehr gut, und das erste Opfer von Jack the Ripper wurde auch schon einer Obduktion unterzogen.

Große Schriftstellerinnen

Gestern beim Heimfahren habe ich den Aaronovitch ausgelesen, er hat mir gut gefallen, aber ich habe irgendwie dauernd dran gedacht, das ich die Wachau als Schauplatz des Buches besser gefunden hätte und das die Geschichte doch sehr ähnlich den normalen Aaronovitch-Romanen war.

 

Für die Fahrt am Nachmittag ins Alt Wien habe ich mir dann ein Buch über mein Lieblingsthema "Lesen und Bücher" ausgewählt, das mir auch ausnehmend gut gefällt.

Ein weiterer Zauberlehrling

Schon gestern Früh habe ich mir den neuen Aaronovitch gegriffen, der dieses Mal ja in Deutschland spielt. Der Roman gefällt mir sehr gut, aber im Grunde ist die Handlung sehr ähnlich den Aaronovitch-Büchern, die in London spielen. Eine Flussgöttin, eine Art Zauberlehrling, ungeklärte Mordfälle... Einzig die Handlung spielt eben in Trier an der Mosel. Und da denke ich mir dann eben wieder: die Handlung hätte auch in die Wachau gepasst, das hätte mir wesentlich besser gefallen. Es hat allerdings nur 180 Seiten, die habe ich dann morgen auch schon wieder ausgelesen.

Die Neuzugänge

In den letzten Wochen sind wieder ein paar neue Bücher bei mir eingezogen - aber gar so viele sind es gar nicht. Dabei sind ein paar Neuerscheinungen, aber auch schon ältere Bücher. Die neue Aaronovitch-Novelle musste natürlich sein, aber das soll später im Herbst auch noch ein neuer Roman folgen. Ein Jack The Ripper-Krimi ist dabei, das neue Buch von Elif Shafak, der zweite Band einer österreichischen Ermittlerin und ein weiteres Buch über meinen Lieblingsfluss, die Donau.

Heute Früh habe ich in der U-Bahn mit einem Fantasy-Roman über eine Meerjungfrau begonnen, bereits nach den ersten 50 Seiten bin ich begeistert, vor Allem von der Sprache. Ich bin jedenfalls schon sehr gespannt, wie es weiterweht in dieser Geschichte um die Meerjungfrau und P. T. Barnum. Meerjungfrauen sind ja - neben Vampiren und Unsterblichen - meine neuen Fantasy-Lieblinge und hier in Wien gibt es ja das Donauweibchen...

Tango

Heute früh habe ich in der U-Bahn mit einem Buch über Tango begonnen. Es liegt ja schon eine Weile hier, und jetzt war die richtige Zeit dafür. Bisher gefällt es mir recht gut, es ist aber sehr klein gedruckt, und ich werde ein paar Tage dran lesen.

Frauenprojekt im Juli: Frauen zurück an den Herd

Gestern Abend habe ich das Tintenfisch-Buch ausgelesen, das mir gut gefallen hat, aber letztlich doch etwas zu einseitig war.

Heute in der U-Bahn habe ich dann mit einem dünnen, feministischen Buch begonnen, das mir zwar ganz gut gefällt, aber andererseits in knapp 140 Seiten nur sehr oberflächlich das Problem der Frauen beschreibt. Geschrieben und veröffentlicht wurde das Büchlein noch unter der türkis-blauen Regierung und das diese Parteien nicht unbedingt für die Gleichberechtigung der Frauen sind - dazu hätten wir diesen Aufsatz auch nicht gebraucht. Es ist aber recht nett zu lesen und hat ein paar gute Ansätze und wird auch bald ausgelesen sein.

Intelligentes Leben + die Evolution

Gestern Abend habe ich den Liebesroman ausgelesen, er hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war auch kein typischer Liebesroman, weil die Herztransplantation einen großen Raum eingenommen hat. Von dieser Autorin kaufe ich mir bestimmt wieder ein Buch.

 

Heute werde ich dann später in der Straßenbahn mit einem neuen Buch beginnen, dieses Mal geht es um die Evolution und die Entstehung von intelligentem Leben. Auf das Buch freue ich mich schon besonders, ich habe es schon eine Weile Zuhause.

Liebesgeschichte mit Herz

Heute habe ich mit einem Liebesroman in der U-Bahn begonnen, bei dem Wetter ist das am Einfachsten zu lesen. Ich habe bisher fast 100 Seiten gelesen und der Roman gefällt mir sehr gut. Stephanie Butland schreibt keine leichten, lockeren Liebesromane - es gibt da schon immer einen ernsten Hintergrund zum Nachdenken. Trotzdem gefallen mir Ihre Romane, und ich freue mich schon drauf, morgen in den Öffis weiterzulesen.
