Das Buch mit den erotischen Geschichten aus Singapur war ganz nett, Kurzgeschichten eben. Manche sogar sehr kurz, nur so ca. 2 1/2 Seiten. Leichte Sommerlektüre und schnell weggelesen.
Gestern Abend habe ich dann noch ein Buch mit Essays über New York begonnen, von dem ich aber etwas enttäuscht bin. In der Beschreibung stand, das Schriftsteller über das Verlassen von New York schreiben. Ich dachte sofort an John Updike, der ja auch in New York gelebt hat und dann auf's Land gezogen ist (ich habe gerade eine Updike-Phase), oder von anderen bekannten Autoren. In dem Buch sind aber nur Schriftstellerinnen (keine Männer!), die mir jedenfalls nicht bekannt sind.
Die Essays bisher sind gut, aber ich hätte mir halt auch bekanntere Autoren gewünscht, und nicht eine reine Frauen-Anthologie. Immerhin: die Zeichnung am Titelbild stammt von einem Mann!!!
