Literarische Reise nach America

Gestern Abend habe ich "On Beauty" ausgelesen. Es war nicht schlecht, hat mich aber nicht wirklich überzeugt und der Schluß war ein wenig aufgesetzt. Zwei College-Professoren streiten sich um Rembrandt-Bilder und wegen ihrer entgegengesetzten politischen Auffassung. Ich hab jedenfalls schon bessere College-Romane gelesen und mir von diesem wesentlich mehr erwartet.

Jetzt hoffe ich das der Postbote meinen lang gewünschten Shakespeare von Harold Bloom bringt (und damit auch den Rest des Namenstags-Geschenkes für meinen Mann), danach werde ich dann das Bryson-Buch über Shakespeare lesen und dann endlich meinen geliebten John Updike.

Aber bis dahin beginne ich mal mit diesem Buch:
