Was Neues

Gestern Abend habe ich den Nabokov ausgelesen, und zum ersten Mal war ich nicht so begeistert von ihm. Die Interviews haben sich immer wiederholt und seine Leserbriefe und Essays haben ihn als ziemlich nörglerisch und rechthaberisch dargestellt. Er scheint ein ziemlicher Unsympathler gewesen zu sein.

Heute Abend habe ich dann das Buch über die Amerikanischen Romane begonnen, und bisher gefällt es mir ganz gut. Ich bin zwar erst auf Seite 53, bisher habe ich von allen Autoren aber zumindest gehört, und viele davon schon gelesen oder auf meinem Stapel der ungelesenen Bücher. Einen Wermutstropfen gibt es aber auch: Erwähnt wird Charles Bukowski, ein Lieblingsautor meines Mannes. Von den sechs namentlichen Erwähnungen wird er allerdings dreimal falsch geschrieben. Und das dürfte in einem gut lektorierten Buch nicht passieren.
